91 points from Wine Spectator for the 2013 Locus Red

The 2013 Locus Red ($25/bottle) was not the only wine that got favorable consideration from the respected wine portal. The 2012 Locus Syrah and the recently released (and flying off the shelves) 2014 Locus Modo Red also got nods.

The 2012 Locus Syrah, Wahluke Slope, StoneTree Vineyard ($25/bottle) was rated at 89 points: “Broad and generous, with a dusty edge to the blackberry and black cherry flavors. Fine-grained tannins are deployed around the persistent finish. Best after 2017. 175 cases made.- HS

The 2014 Locus Modo Red ($15/bottle) got a 88 points: “Soft and ripe, with generous red and blackberry flavors, finishing with a refreshing lilt. Merlot, Malbec, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink now through 2019. 623 cases made. – HS
