Locus Wines + Mamnoon’s Jason Stratton = The New Vintage

Friday night has never looked so good. Now in its second year, The New Vintage – a celebration of select wineries and restaurants as part of TASTE Washington – is at the very center of it all in downtown’s distinctive Motif Seattle on April 1 from 7pm-10pm.

Locus Wines is paired with Mamnoon’s Jason Stratton for the event and the 2015 Locus Rosé is the wine of choice for Stratton’s carrot hummus with cumin and lime. Tasters will also sample the Locus Sémillon as well. The Locus Wines crew will be on hand to pour the wines.

Stratton 101 for the uninitiated: He is a local legend. He started his career at the Le Gourmand at the age of 16, then moved to Cafe Juanita in 2002. He later became co-chef at Poppy, until joining Spinasse in 2009. While at Spinasse, Stratton was named one of Food & Wine magazine’s 10 Best New Chefs for 2010 and opened both Artusi and Aragona, a James Beard semifinalist for Best New Restaurant in 2014. Since September 2015, Stratton has been General Manager and Executive Chef of Capitol Hill’s Mamnoon.
